My love of acting and singing started at a young age when my Dad wrote scripts for sermons at church where he brought words to life through drama and song.  You could also find me at the front of the church leading the worship, singing and playing the guitar with him.  But it was seeing my brother in a scout Gang Show that really started my passion for musical theatre.  It was so compelling, I became a scout just so I could be in the next shows!  Scouts and Gang Shows were a big part of my growing up and I spent 10 happy years performing at Lewisham Theatre.  Scouting also provided me life long friends as well as a wonderful husband.

 

I became a member of Eldorado Musical Productions in 2004 and my first role was as a nun in The Sound of Music.  Right from the very first rehearsal people were warm and friendly and very welcoming.  They had a fantastically high standard of production and I came back the following season to audition for a part in Fiddler on the Roof and was hooked.  It was nice to find another friendly society like the one I'd belonged to back in Bermondsey.

 

Eldorado have been very supportive of me personally and I have been priviledged to develop my own skills as director and choreographer with my directorial debut in 2009 - Smokey Joe's Cafe.  I have also been able to develop my IT skills by designing this website and now I sit on the committee to assist with running the society.  Do not hesitate to contact me with any comments or questions.
